Edward Middleton black powder shotgun
I came across an interesting black powder double barrel shotgun, appears to be a 12 guage. but the only markings on it is the name Edward Middleton on both sides. Can anyone tell me about it or have any ideas what it's value might be? I realize this isn't much info to go on, but this is the only info it reveals.

Edward Middleton was a gunmaker in Birmingham, England, during the last half of the 19th century. Not particularly well-known, nor are the guns sought after.
Does make for a good wallhanger though, in the $300 price range.0 -
The name does'nt come up in my database...It sounds like an English Name, but could very well be and American name also....Looked thru my Satterlee and Gluckmann book of Ameican Makers and find No mention of Middleton listed...it would be of Great help if you could dismount the Barrels and check for Proof Marks under the Breech end of the barrels.
In the interim I'll look thru the libruary to see if I can find any mention of this Maker....best.......
