Mauser Action...

Anyone know any companies who sell rifles with mauser actions that are not too expensive?? I know ruger does.

  Please clarify. Ruger does not make Mauser action, unless any turn-bolt qualifies as "Mauser."
  
  If up front cost is a problem, look at military actions. Not only are most of good quality, you have at least four different sizes of military Mauser action to choose from.
  
  And most of the military actions incorporate the unslotted inner receiver ring that improves safety, strength, and rigidity.
  
  Of course I'm not prejudiced in any way . . . but if what you seek is a first-class hunting rifle action that requires virtually no gunsmithing look at No.4 Mark II SMLE made at Long Branch Arsenal-Toronto, or BSA-England.
  
  So long as fifteen reloads per case is not needed, you can create a beautiful mannlicher-style stalking rifle that is quicker, safer, easier to use, and much more resistant to crud, mud, and debris in the action than any other turn-bolt action rifle. Best of all, accuracy potential is comparable with most Mauser-style actions -- that is, better than you can probably shoot. All No.4 Mark IIs are peacetime actions. Quality control of finish is excellent.

  Check into an Interarms Mark X, I believe Brno makes some also. These are relatively inexpensive rifles. Also, don't discount a good used rifle. Boltguns are hard to wear out, and discounts can be had at the used gun section.
