CZ Pistol

I just picked up a CZ .32 cal pistol. The gun is excellent cond and is marked VZOR 70 cal 7.65, Made In Czechoslovkia. Can you guys tell me about this pistol? Any history? How to disassemble the pistol? Any information is helpfull. I believe it is a Century Arms Import, marked C.A.I. Georgia VT.

  Your pistol began as the CZ 1950 and was developed for use by police and for commercial sales. The Czech military used the CZ 1952 chambered for the 7.62 Soviet cartridge so the CZ 50 saw no military use as a service pistol. Many Czech officers carried these CZ 50's off duty since the CZ 52 service pistol was reserved for on duty and in uniform carry. The design leaned heavily on the Walther PP with a few changes added by the designers; the Kratochvil Brothers. The most obvious difference is that the Czech pistol has a fixed trigger gaurd and dismantaling is controled by a button on the right side of the framne. The location of the safety is also different along with the loaded chamber indicator. This pistol enjoyed modest success but was little seen outside of the eastern bloc. I've run across many of these in my travels through eastern Europe.
  
  Your CZ 1970 is just an upgrade with very few changes other than the markings and a change in the stocks (grips). Both of these pistols used to be very rare here in the United States and would bring big collector dollars- maybe $400 and up for a nice example. These days they are very plentiful and about $150 would be the most I'd pay...and the gun had better be like new.
