Benelli Nova Pump 20ga
Need opinions, pros, cons on the Benelli Nova 20ga pump. Local store has them new in 26" black with three chokes for $299.

I have shot the Benelli Nova, they are nice guns for the money. I'd personally recommend the Benelli over any other gun in its price range. I have a Benelli Super Black Eagle that would honestly be my last gun I would sell...
However, you are wanting it in 20 ga, and it only shoots 2 3/4" and 3". I am not sure what the benefit to shooting a 20 gauge 3" would be over a 12 gauge 2 3/4" (and if you get the 12 gauge model, it will shoot everything from 2 3/4" to 3 1/2")...
For a pump shotgun in 20, I'd recommend an 870 Remington. They are about the same price and have many aftermarket accessories available for them.
It doesn't matter what you shoot, just shoot it well...0 -
If you've got the chance, go for anything from Benelli's quite excellent models.
They're simple, beautiful, easy to maintain and extremely reliable.
Wouldn't trade my Super Black Eagle for anything in the world either - well maybe for a M3 Super 93 and an M4 Super 90 hehe.
It's no wonder, that several specialty-units use Benelli.
Norwegian and sweedish elite soldier-corps, Danish Frogman-corps(equal to US SEAL), Danish and sweedish riot-police and specialty-police units have taken Benelli as their trusted 12 gauge choice.
Now Greenlandic plane- and helicopterservice - rescue teams and civilian planes and helicopters carry Benelli Nova - because anyone can assemble and load it from a few drawings contained in the standard survival pack.
The old pumpguns were tougher to assemble and needed updating.
The most important is though, go for anything that feels good to shoot and something you can shoot straight with.
Don't do anything that I've allready done - That'd be just plain STOOOOOOPID.0
