Premier "Trailblazer".22 pump
Too many shots without earplugs makes my memory fuzzy some days. I recall seeing a Premier "Trailblazer" some years ago. Since then the only inscription that I have seen is just Premier and NO Trailblazer. I've also read that these were a private label 1914 Savage. Were there other Premier pump .22's other than the 1914 Savage? Mine appears to be a Savage 25. Who was the Premier private label for? Just keep pump'n.

All I can find is, House Brand Priemier,Model Trail Blazer,Original Mfg Stevens ,Model 29A.Got this info out of the back of the Seventeenth Edition of The Blue Book.Hope this helps.

Trailblazer was a store name for wards. I have seen two pump rifles with this name. One was the Savage 29 and the other was the Savage model 25. 0 -

The plot thickens. GB auction 7250142 was recently on for a Westernfield Savage 29. It for the life of me looks an awful lot like a Model 75 Stevens (forearm shape and location/shape of the bolt release). So.....why would Wards be marketing the "same" guns under both Westernfield and Premier labels? Your thoughts please.[?] 0 -
The Stevens 75 is nothing more than an economy version of the Savage 29. Remember that Savage owned Stevens during this time period. As far as I can tell the Premier name was used during the twenties, then Wards changed the name to Westernfield and also Trailblazer. Sears sold the same gun under the name Ranger. 0
