Beretta 96 to 92

You can put a 92 slide on your 96 frame. Your 96 mags will work with 9mm ammo too. I've used both for each caliber and never had a problem or misfeed. I even tried a 9mm barrel on a couple of different .40 slides and it worked. I wouldn't suggest trying it though, the firing pin doesn't always strike center and the empties don't eject far. The .357 might give your frame a beating though.

I've heard of 96/92 interchange on Berettas. As a matter of fact a few years ago, when I was looking into buying a Beretta, I found some combo deals too - where both 96/92 came together as a package. I didnt buy it though, but it does work with interchangable barrels and slides.

About your question on the .357 Sig caliber - Most .40 Cals work with .357 Sigs. The Glock and Sig Sauer actually promote this feature on their either .40 Cal pistols and mostly on .357 pistols. (cuz .40 ammon is cheaper to shoot than .357 Sig ammo). Let us know the name of that site which is selling interchagable barrels for Beretta, cuz I don't know of a company doing that yet. Sig Sauer and Glocks sell interchangable barrels, but Beretta doesn't cuz Beretta has not yet accepted this .357 Sig caliber.

Let me know how it goes.....

I do this routinely. 96 to 92 works well, but I don't know if a 92 can convert to a 96. The only problem I could see would be if the angle of the feed ramp on the frame were different; I don't know if it is or not.. I know Beretta doesn't reccommend doing the conversion, but likely they are just covering their bacon for liability. They used to make a convertable set.

    As for .357Sig, it's a simple conversion. Just drop a .357 barrel into a 96 slide. (92 won't work)

    I also have a .22LR conversion kit.

If you want to shoot cheap ammo in it, buy a Ciener 22 conversion kit and put on it. They are under $200. Good to practice with, and you can shoot all day for a few bucks.

Slide assemblies are hard to find. I got mine from a local dealer/gunsmith that got a 92 whose frame was beyond repair.
You might try looking here at GB.

For .22LR, I went with Ciener, too. But Beretta has its own conversion kit.
