Walther P38 from 60's vs one from 80's ?
Provided the both guns are LNIB?

The alloy frame p-38 from the 80's had a hex steel reinforcing bolt, through the frame above the trigger. This was started in the mid 70's because the receivers were cracking.
Go with the later production P-38's.0 -
Rufe Snow is right; howver, the older one may be more collectable than the newer. The big problem is that you can't use +P ammo in the older, non-reinforced model, and still probably isn't a good idea in the newer ones. Check out www.p38forum.com 0
