Mikhail t. Kalishnikov will be at the Shot Show in Orlando courtesy of Boker Treebrand and Boker USA. He will the n hand Thursday from
102 p.m. At Boker' sBooth 24232. He will be with his English speaking daughter Elena and grandson, Igor. Why would anyone lock a subject that doesn't have an answer?

  Hi Darrell,I wondered the same thing myself.I got a mag.in the mail yesterday that said he would be at the shot show.Then I remembered reading in a much earlier post that he had died.So I brought back the original npost.

  wow he is the pride of russia ....i would have thought this would have been on the news...this would be a huge deal in russia..lets get to the bottom of this one...thanks tom

  ....If I was going, I'd take a real nice AK butt stock and have him autograph it, then get a picture with him to document the occasion. Probably double the value of the gun immediately....over time who knows? Can you imagine what a Browning would be worth today signed by John Moses?
  
  I've got a real nice rifle that Chuck Heston autographed for me....had a number of offers that are triple what the guns worth.

  I saw Kalishnikov at the Shot Show in 1994. I always regretted not shaking his hand or getting an autograph when I had the chance.

  I got a tour of the factory where they made the AK and it's variants once while I was an exchange student to Moscow University for a linguistics program and got to speak to the man personally, at the time I spoke fluent russian. He happened to show up to check out some new models on the line or something and give them a whirl for himself. I didn't know who it was at first until I asked why everybody was running around at this guys whim letting him inspect some of the guns. Unfortunately I didn't get the opportunity to fire off a few rounds with him but he is a decent shot from what I did get to see.
