Belgium Browning BAR value?
What is it worth? I'm looking at a Browning BAR Grade II "Made in Belgium" 243 rifle. I would rate it at 75-80% due to some scratches around the front sight(apparently where the hood was viciously removed), and some scratches, marks, nicks in the lacquer that go down to the bare wood, but didn't gouge the wood. I think the gun was made in either 1969 or 1971, if that matters. Is there any difference in prices of these guns due to caliber - say 243 versus 30-06 versus magnum calibers? Book prices and selling prices are often different, so what would this book for, and what would it most likely sell for? Are these Belgium guns in 243 grade II rare or fairly common? I haven't seen any of these used on any of the gunsites I've looked on for reference. If the stocks were redone professionaly, would that effect the value either way? Thanks for any information you might have.

70% = $440
80% = 470
Add 20% for Belgian-made guns.
The only caliber premium is +10% for .338 Winchester Magnum.0
