Sig .40 or Berretta 9000S?

Got a pretty good deal the other day on a used-but-clean Sig P 239 (.40). Those sexy Berretta ads for the 9000S, same caliber, keep saying, "Hi, sailor. Come on in." Honestly, anybody got an opinion on which they prefer of these models, Sig P 239 or Berretta 9000S?

  I own the Sig P239 in .40S/W & a Berretta 9357 which is a .357sig
  I have found the Berretta to be lighter for daily carry.
  But otherwise both are super & are keepers.
  The wife uses the P239 as her carry in her purse.
  We also have 2 HK USP's in .40 S/W & .357sig, too long & heavy to carry.

  Thanks, Walte. I'd heard LEO reports that the Beretta Cougar had feed problems, but the 9000S had no such reputation. Yes, the P239 is heavy. I appreciate your view and all other feedback. I'm not Donald Trump, and it means a few bucks, even if one uses the Sig for trade, an idea that caused a couple of folks to turn red and spontaneously combust. All views welcome.

  I dont own a Sig P-239,but Im sure its of high quality as all Sigs.I own a P-229 .357sig.It is also our Duty weapon,I carry a Beretta 9000s 9MM as my back up weapon and its very accurate and reliable.Also 13RDs of 9MM in such a small Handgun is a plus.HTH

  I have a Beretta 9000S in .40 S&W, and I'm all over the place with it. I think my best group was something like 8" at 15 yards. It might just be the user, but I don't have this problem with any of my other handguns.

  I use a Beretta 9000 as a daily carry weapon and love the style and comfort of the composite frame. Mine is chambered in .40 and it does shoot at 8 to 15 inches at 15 yards, but hey that's good enough for me! I know the Sig is a heavier gun so I opted for the Beretta. Hey it looks good too![:)]

  Have you tried operating the slide on that 9000S? Tiny, I could hardly get a hold of it to open the gun! Not what you want if you have a problem. We had one come in the shop. I was not impressed. I'd pass on that one!
  
  Also I found the safety to be next to impossible to engage/disengage.

  Looks like the people have spoken. Mostly, it's the Sig. I guess the Berretta and its cool lines are like my second wife: Looked good and easy to take places, but went a little off-center when her trigger was pulled, and certainly not the best for personal security. Any other defenders? Of the Berretta, not my second wife.

  You really need to handle a gun first. You may or may not like the way it fits you. You wouldn't want us dating/rating your ex or your future spouse cause we're different than you. My take on the Beretta is that you don't have any grip options, so if it isn't right on first sight, you won't have a long-term relation.
