Yes. These aren't as easy to find as they once were, so when you locate a box or two save the fired brass as you may wish to reload it. 0 -
Mooman...... I have a smith 625 and der is correct, you can shoot 45 AR in it. I found some at a gun show, but it is rather expensive. If you can find it under $25.00 a box your lucky. I have about 300rnds of it.
Loading .45 acp into the moon clips is a pain, I usually shoot acp without the moon clips, you just have to pull the empties out with your finger nails, as the extractor misses the rimless cases.
If you reload, the data for both ACP and AR are about the same as the case capacity is the same for both, they are only different externally.0 -
Laredo is right. I have the three inch version for a carry gun. Midway has the brass for auto rim. I use full moon clips for self defense stuff, but use auto rims for target shooting. Some of the brass has been reloaded at factory velocity over 10 times so far with NO issues. Enjoy 0 -
If you are going to use the moons get one of the de-mooners from Calif.Competition (avail thru Dillons). It will save you a lot of headaches and bent clips. Right now I have 2 625s, a 25 and a 1917 Colt all using moons. With the short cartridgge length they make the best speedloader I can think of.

One other tip...brush the mouth edges of each rim slot on the full moon clips lightly with a file. They will still hold the rims fine and are much easier to load and get one of those Dillon demooners, they work like nothing else. 0
