WTB-Need help finding a Marlin 30-30 Bicentennial

My grandfather passed away a few weeks ago and brought back some great memories. He gave me this gun for my first deer rifle at age 14. To my regret, I traded it in on a 270 two years later. I dont remember the model number but would like to find one. Can someone help me out with the model number and/or tell me where I might be able to locate one? I sure would like to correct a grave mistake(trading the gun) that I made as a young teenage hunter that hunts today thanks to a great man that taught me the tradition a long time ago.   I sold one a while back it's a 336 model with a medallion in the stock that says centennial 1870 to 1970 all serial numbers were 70 -then the rest of the number.I also had a .44mag they used the regular model numbers for these guns and all were mfg.in 1970.

  this one actually had a silver plate on the stock that read 1776-1976. thanks for the reply though ATF. i do believe it was a 336 model though. i really wish i could find this gun!

  yea bhayes i saw that one too. but you are right that is not the one i was looking for. the one on the auciton is listed as T Centennial. the gun that i am looking for says Bicentennial on the plate. i specifically remember a silver plate or medallion on the stock. it had blue writing that read 1776-1976...... thanks though. KEEP LOOKING PLEASE!!!

  We are talking about 2 different rifles here. I have a Marlin model 336 in 30-30 that is the Marlin centennial. Round bronze medallian on the right side of the stock that says Marlin 1870 - 1970. They, along with many others made a U.S. centennial rifle. Naturally, 1776 - 1976.
