Remington 1894 Double
Can anyone help with advice on how to remove the butt stock on an 1894 Remington Double. The tang and trigger guard screws are out and the stock just won't slide free. Thanks. ken

I admit that Iam no expert on Remington shotguns, but, have you tried to take off the butt plate and look for a stock bolt underneath? If there is no stock bolt, I would try tapping the heal of the butt with the palm of my hand to see if that will loosen the stock. 0 -
Thanks Scout. No stock bolt. The stock slides back about an inch and hangs up. I can't figure out. Ken 0 -
I had (and still have) the same problem. I got a detailed instruction from a real expert. It is so complicated I have not tried it. It involves removing the trigger plate (3 screws). It also warns you to see how the safety plunger fits as it might fall out in the process. 0
