Springfield Armory's 40 cal

I need to know how good is Springfield Armory's Xtreme 40.cal. Is it good, fair, bad, so, so, Any problems?etc.........Thanks....Marty

  too soon to say how the frame will hold up to the 40 cal..it used to be the hs2000 in 9mm built in croatia..i have a few and they are great..fact i like it better than my glock..then springfield bought them changed the name and jacked the price up $200+ on the 9mm,they introduced the 40 cal about 6 mos ago but i believe it is still the same frame just chambered for the larger round,,maybe some other members have more inpute,but me personally would wait a bit till any bugs are worked out if any i still am not sure sure how the frame will hold up with the 40

  Thanks slidder12, I like the feel, and looks of the gun just not sure, It does have a lifetime warranty, but will wait awhile longer for more feed back............Thanks again .......

  hey marty check out the walther p99 comes in black or green 9 and 40 cal cost about 50-75 bucks more but is a far better piece and looks and feels almost the same..picked up one myself today at the gunshow for $500 plus tax

  Thanks again slidder12, I checked out the Walther P99 on line, and will find a dealer here in town, I found a site that they were only $410.00 not a bad price[:)] Still need to have it in my hand to see how it feels.Anyway thanks for the feed back you were very helpful[:)]Thanks again........................Marty

  I bought the SA/XD 40 cal 2 months ago and I love it. It shoots very well and is easy yo handle. I have only shot about 300 rounds through it. You might want to try this web site it has helped me. www.hs2000talk.com

  I have SA XD .40 cal that is ported I guess it is called the V10 and it shoots like a dream.
  
  However I am disappointed in the finish as it is showing edge wear and I have only been carrying it about 4 months. Granted, it is in a Fobus roto paddle holster but I thought it would wear a little better. The finish is worn on the rear of the slide as well as the barrel
  
  I gave $475. for it out the door.

  I really like the looks of the walther and was going to buy one but I got a Glock instead. The grip of the Walther was too slick and I thought it would pose a problem in adverse weather conditions. My G22 has functioned flawlessly and I am certain I made a wise decision.
