  Some states have restrictions, but in general the answer is Yes. In practical terms, only UPS Ground will do it. The USPS will not. The box has to be labeled "ORM-D", but that is the responsibility of the shipper, not you. You need to be over 21 and legally allowed to buy ammo in your location. The package should require an adult signature for delivery.
  
  I have ordered ammo from several places over the internet and had it delivered by UPS, no problem. (I live in NY State.) One place required me to fax a copy of my driver's license.

  Need to be 21 to buy ammunition? Does that include rifle ammo?(since 18 year olds can legally purchase rifles/shotguns)

  Some sellers ask that buyers be 21 to cover their own rears. I am 23 and remember when I was 19 asking a seller if he would ship a crate of Argentine Mauser ammo to me. He said yes, but he would need a copy of my driver's liscence and the serial # of any guns I would use it in. Paranoia. So yes, you can buy rifle ammo. There should be no restrictions. That isn't to say you won't run into any. Oh yeah, Fedex also delivers it.

  Bought some .30 rem. from a dealer on this here site. He mailed it to me in Texas. Mailman left it on my front-porch. Ain't TEXAS grand?[:p]

  Yep, get it shipped right to my pourch too. I've had 10 shipments in the past year, never had to sign for even 1 package!

  Must Be 21 For any ammo that can be fired in a handgun, law(18yr old) was passed some time ago when there was some difference in handgun & rifle/shotgun ammo. Now you can buy a handgun for any caliber so no smart dealer will sell ammo to someone under 21. It can be shipped to your door an adult will have sign for it.

  fergusonmorse392 Has about the most definitive answer- The only part he left out is that many dealers or sellers require that you provide a photocopy of your State Issued DL and an ink signed statement that there are no laws, Federal, State or Local preventing you from purchasing ammo.
