S&W 44 Mountain Gun Price
I need help determining a sell price for my 629 Mountain Gun. I bought it new about 6 - 7 years ago. It has no markings on it other than the logo on the inspection plate, etc. Nothing on the barrel. It has a traget hammer and trigger and white outline rear sight. Rubber Hogue grips with silver S&W medallions. What can I expect to get for this at 90% or so? Thanks again in advance.

Copross.... Your gun should be worth $500.00 to $550.00. All of the "Mountain guns" I have seen have "Mountain Gun" on the right side of the barrel, and Smith & Wesson on the lt side. They came with tappered 4" barrels.
There are a bunch of these listed on this auction, check out the pictures. Go to the modern guns, then revolvers and type in mountain gun. If you have the original box and can provide the "product code" I can be more specific.0 -
Yep that's about the price. Hope you aren't selling it cause you have to. Nice gun!
I've noticed that there's quite a market out there in used 44 mags. My guess is that many users can't handle 'em. I'm not sure if that's because they don't have the constitution for recoil, or they don't reload and can't make themselves some modest power loads.

$500 is on the high end for a used Mountain Gun. New ones go for about $550. $475 is a good asking price and see where it goes from there.
