If the rifle in question is totally original and correct the Mark 1 version of the 1903 should bring a 20% premium over a standard 1903 with a nickel steel receiver- you don't mention any type of condition so a value cannot be given with accuracy. If the rifle has been reworked or rebuilt it is worth no more than what the CMP is/was selling their Mark 1 rifles for: $450 for the S stock and $525 for the C stock. Original and un reworked 1903 Mark 1's are bringing close to $2000 but these guns are straight and as issued. As a rebuilt rifle your Mark 1 would be simply a curiosity and earns no real premium.

Believe this gun was purchased from the NRA.
It is in my fathers estate and has not been touched other than displayed since it was purchased.0 -

The vast majority of 1903's that were sold through the DCM were rebuilt, placed in storage and then boxed and shipped to NRA members through the old DCM. You are going to have to provide us with some information as to markings on the barrel, the stock, what type of finish and condition if you want to establish a value on this rifle. Do you have access to this firearm for the purpose of physical inspection? If you can not get a look at the weapon we can not help you.
