Shipping an 1898 Handgun

I have a S&W DA Russian which was shipped from the factory in July, 1898. I don't have an FFL or a C&R license. Can I ship via USPS directly to an unlicensed buyer? If the answer is "No!", what's the best way to work this?

  According to Federal law, it is an antique firearm and can be shipped via USPS to a nonlicensee. However, you need to check the law in the state to which it is being sent to be sure that there is no state or local law that would prohibit the recipient from obtaining it. Refer to State Laws and Published Ordinances-Firearms (ATF P5300.5).
