Any info on 45acp revolver.
Is anyone familiar with a 45acp revolver with markings-
Mre d'Armes, St Etienne, Mre.1874 S.1875
6-shot revolver D/A, w/loading gate and extractor rod?

What you have is a French Officers Model of 1874 revolver. It was orignally chambered for the 11mm, French Army revolver cartridge. (11 x 17.8mm R).
Unfortunately many of these fine/valuable weapons have been rechambered for the .45 ACP.
This really affects there resale value, as the best place to sell them is in there country of origin, France. They can't be sold there if they been rechambered for a modern smokeless cartridge.0 -
