Trimming synthetic stock???
Is it possible to cut trim a remington synthetic stock on a ADL 700 ?
And if so how is the best way to do it?

Yes it is possible. I have already cut down one synthetic stock. Get your new length of pull measurements. Make sure the cut is done at the same angle as the end of the stock. Next you will need to get a wooden dowel rod. 3/4 or 1in diameter will do nicely. Use the biggest one that will fit into the inside of the stock at the top and bottom. These will be used to secure the recoil pad when you re-install it. Check around and find the best glue you can find for adhering wood to plastic. Rough up the dowel rod and the inside of the stock with sandpaper. Glue and clamp the rods into the inside of the stock. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours. I opted to fill the inside of my stock with expanding foam after I installed the dowel rods. Allow the foam to cure for 24 hours and trim flush with end of stock. Install the recoil pad. You may want to use a sanding wheel or belt sander to make the pad flush against the edges of the stock. Just be careful to keep the sander on the pad and off the stock. It takes a little time and patience but beats paying 80 to 100 bucks for a new stock. Good luck.
