Only thing I could dig up was a "Drum Magazine For An Automatic Pistol" invented by W. Taylor, Decatur Ga, circa 1980. (25) shot, .45 ACP, 1911 Colt & clones. All steel, U.S. made. Quality & Quanity? 0 -
Rufe Snow is correct the Taylor Drum was made for the 1911 45 acp, There are two models mark I and mark II, Original price was about $59.00 "invesnted by W Taylor" but the idea taken from one of the famous gangsters of the 20s/30s who modified his Govt model to fire full auto, put a pistol grip on front and fed it through his drum 0 -
Well reb, it must be a pre-ban. If you want to sell it - e-mail me.

Rufe is right; I bought a Taylor drum in the early 80's for about $50.
Never could get more than 28 rounds into it; sent it back once for replacement, and later for a refund. When it worked, it was kinda cool to run 28 continuous rounds through old Banger.0 -
Should fit the Marlin 45 Camp carbine too, right? 0 -
I thought as much because I saw a couple of these drums (although I didn't know they were called taylor drums) at the show and the pouch looks as if it were made for those mini drums for the 45 auto. I didn't mention this earlier because I didn't want to put preconceived notions into any of the responses. cb, I would sell it so email me at gichaeljor@charter.net with an offer. it is new in the bag. but please don't be offended if I decide to auction it off to the highest bidder because I know these are hard to find. heck, I've only seen 2 of the drums and none of the pouches. 0 -
It will definitely fit the marlin Camp Carbine or any other firearm that uses the Colt M1911 mag, It worked with My Detonics (Mag is bigger than gun, Also worked with Any Model 1911a1 I ever had. While they were originally advertised at 30 round cap, the factory soon issued a notice with instructions that you should not try more than 25 rds in it (for maximum performance) 0
