Tac-light on pistol

I have a Glock model 20 (pre-ban - 1st frame style). I was wondering if you guys thought it'd be worth the time and money to buy the newer frame style with the frame slots to handle a tac-light (and maybe get the compensated model to tame the 10mm slightly). I already have the internal LaserMax high-intensity laser, and Meprolight adjustable sights. I keep my 3D cell Mag-Light by the bed anyway.
Also, has anyone heard any legality problems with running a post-ban gun with pre-ban (15 round) magazines?

  I can't answer your question about preban clips in post ban weapons, however if I may offer an opinion to your tac-light question. I would personally avoid using a light on a firearm in a self defense situation, it gives them something to shoot at as it gives away your position and not theirs. I would personally just use light switches in the rooms to flood the entire room with light. If I absolutely had no other lighting options available and there just isn't enough ambient light from the moon or a street lamp I may consider a hand held flashlight but this destroys your night vision for several minutes. I guess there can be pro's/con's to having a tac-light but personally I wouldn't ever use one.

  Somebody watches way to many movies. Flashlights will attract bugs and bullets. I have over 700 videos of actual police shootings the vast majority in low light and darkness. So far NOT one uses a laser (can't find any) and only two have a flashlight and before the shoot it hits the ground. In a REAL shooting you won't be baffled about who is trying to kill you in any light. It will be very obvious. And why not turn on the lights? Or use motion detector lights?
  Why complicate things? In a real shooting the more simple the better. No time to be playing with toys.

  I tend to agree about lights and lasers, dont give the other person a advantage by telling them where you are. On the issue of using a compensated weapon, if you want to interrupt your night vision go for it.

  It's my understanding that there is no legal (federal) problem using hi-cap mags is post ban guns. Of coarse if you live in one of the pinko areas, you're out of luck!
