parts for mossberg 500

does anyone know where i can get a pistol grip and an interchangeable 18" barrell for a mossberg 500, 12ga. pump? i want to be able to use this gun for home defense, and then change it back to normal in case i want to shoot skeet or hunt. is this possible?

  Check with the factory. Also, there's a guy on GB here who sells 18" barrels occasionally, I think its VLAD2000.

  Tenniso, check the parts section here on gunbroker, or try the want ads. For home defense, and yes i know i will get a little flack about this. Dont use a pistol grip, use the rifle stocks, your wrist will thank you and you will get better weapon retention if things get ugly.

  I had a pistol grip on a 500 once ~ and shot it once that way too, thought it was going to rip my thumb off my hand, its really tough on the web between thumb and forefinger but if you also get the slide with the pistol grip its not nearly as bad ~ both hands can absorb the recoil [;)]

  thanks gentlemen. i appreciate your suggestions. i have rethought my choice on the pistol grip. i do want an 18" barrell, a sidesaddle shell holder and a mounted light, and one of those slings that holds shells cause they look cool and it will drive my wife nuts.
  i just got my cheaper than dirt catalog in so i'll be shopping soon.
