Best aftermarket trigger for Remington 700
After 24 years the trigger on my Remington 700 got "sticky". took it to a local gunsmith and while he got the weight down it now has a ton of creep that cant be worked out. I have decided to buy an aftermarket trigger assy. Which one is the best for the money? The rifle is used for informal target shooting and hunting. I need something that has a three pound pull weight with no creep.

Find a smith who knows something about rem. 700 triggers. You have the best trigger on the market in that old Rem.If not and you just want the best after market trigger you can buy then get a Jewell and have it installed by a compentant gun smith.Randy W. 0 -

Thanks for the help. I am having trouble finding a good gunsmith in the Phoenix area. If anyone out there can recommend one Id appreciate it. Thanks Steve45 0 -
I had my Rem 700 trigger re-worked by the 'smith. I am not sure what all he did, he lowered the pull weight, and there is no creep at all in it.
Personally, I'd get a second opinion before replacing the trigger...
It doesn't matter what you shoot, just shoot it well...0
