What is the difference between Rem. 870 Wingmaster, and 870 Express?

  on the 12 and 20's the butt stock are they the same or different. Thanks all Rich

  Richie,from my experience,my usual hard way,I bought a synthetic stock for my 20ga.When I took the wood stock off and tried to mount the new one,it wouldn't fit.It was for a 12ga.In that case,they were about a 1/4in different.Hope that helps.Bob.

  well, that is what I want to do, this is my first shotgun that pops has be using the last 20 years and it is cracked from him falling down. seems like all I can find is 12 ga.

  a good woodworker can fix a cracked stock to hold if the crack is not to bad

  yea this just isn't a crack, it is more like a break. almost full lenght through the grip.

  I think bama is thinking of the 1100, not the 870, on the 20 gauge 1100 is based on the 12 gauge receiver unless it is designated LW (lightweight).

  It looks like Remington's replacement stocks run between $62 and $160. Hope this helps!
