Black Powder Rifle ??
We just began selling items here on GB and we were wondering what the rules for inline blackpowder rifles were upon selling them in an auction. Does the winner have to still have an FFL do the transfer or can the gun be shipped directly to the person. Here in NY there are no 4473's to fill out or background checks for them but we're not sure about the other states. Thanks in advance guys for the help !!

The only inline that requires an FFL is the TC Encore, at least here in Ga. and most civilized states. Chicago and Calif. not sure about. 0 -
Yes, to the best of my knowledge, you don't need anything special (no FFL required), besides the encore, also add the savage 110ml (I think that is the model number), the one that shoots smokeless powder in an in-line gun. Also, I wouldn't recommend selling caps or powder with it. I don't think you can ship them together either. Recently, I had problems with Mail Boxes, ETC. not wanting to ship my blackpowder guns, after going to 2 places, I went to the 3rd store and just marked the contents as lock, stock, and barrel - good thing they didn't read westerns. Bambihunter that Savage is considered a muzzleloader, not a modern firearm. 0 -
I don't know for sure, but our local store here in OK requires the typical form to purchase one - they might be wrong, but they require it none-the-less...
