Winchester Mod. 70 .375 Cal H&H Mag.

I have a Winchester Mod. 70 .375 Cal H&H Mag. that was my fathers. I was looking to sell it. It is in excellent condition. My father was more of a collector than a shooter. How do I know if it was pre '64. I don't thin it is. Most of his rifles were from '67-'77. Serial number on the rifle is G1136xxx.

  It is not a pre 64. The G prefix is not present on a pre 64.

  Rgerst, I think yours is the Model 70 Magnum. Bluebook for 100% is $400, $350 for 98%. PLUS as bonus for the fact that it is a .375 H&H add 25-35%.[:p]

  Does it have a black forend tip and pistol grip cap? If so, it is from the late 60's, 70's era. I believe that series was called XTR's. These guns have a little more value than one of the post 64's that were made before this model became available. As to value, probably around $550-$650.00 would be my guess.
