"Assault Weapon" Evils?

If I put a Thumbhole Stock on my AK-47 does that eliminate one of the three evils (Pistol Grip) and allow me to add another evil in it's place (Flash Suppressor or Brake)?

  Niner, is it a pre-ban? If so, you should be exempt from the two evils limit. I think the thumbhole stock fell under BATF regs as a pistol grip, as they redefined "pistol-grip" as a weapon with a "protruding grip below the gun" or some crap like that. Real gray area there either way.[:D]

  I may be mistaken, but I thought you could put a brake on any post-ban gun.

  Ouch, got one too. I don't think you can get away with much on those. Those are built on US receivers if I remember correctly and that was to make them import-eligable. I would leave it alone IMHO. You might find a flash suppressor muzzle brake to go on it though.[;)]

  Sorry I missed that point in the first post. As Grizz pointed out, there is no regulations against muzzle brakes. You can only have two of: pistol grip, grenade laucher, bayo/lug, flash suppressor, detachable magazine, folding stock (on pre-bans only), and a forward pistol grip stock (I'm not sure on that one).
