AR-15 Sporter Target model

I am thinking about buying a Colt AR-15 Sporter Target model from a co-worker NIB. Has had one clip full shot through it. Has the original box, paper work, and 2 Colt 20 round clips. I was wondering what would be a realistic price for this gun he is asking $1000.00.

  If it's had one round fired through it, it's not "NIB". You can call it "like NIB", or "almost NIB", but not "NIB".
  
  I would think that a fair price would be in the $800-900 range. After all, you can get a brand new Comp HBAR for < $1,000.

  Depends on how much you value his friendship, I had a good friend buy my used 1 1/2 yr old Bushmaster off of me for $850. Basically the price I paid for it. I threw in 6 mags though. $1000 might not be bad since you wouldn't be taxed on it.
