Your pistol is a Ballister-Molina made in Argentina and is in .45 ACP caliber. If the finish is the original finish it should be worth $250-275, but if reblued it's closer to $200-225. This pistol borrowed design features from Colt and Star, and it's parts are mostly not interchangeable with the Colt 1911. 0 -
To further elaborate, as Der Gebirgsjager has already mentioned, it is a .45acp. The 11.25mm designation is simply metric for .45acp. The guns aren't well received because they don't interchange with the standard 1911. They were actual military issue however, so they had to have some qualifications. Grips are available for the gun, both rubber and wood. As for the value, there are various ones available in a wide range of conditions. If yours is 90% original condition, $225-275 would be average. Some of the rougher ones will be $175-225.
If memory serves, the barrels will interchange as well as the mags, in most cases (some need minor fitting). Hammers, triggers, grips, slide stops, do not interchange. I had been told the barrels interchanged years ago. I think I actually tried it myself, I just don't remember what the result was. It was more of a curiousity at the time. I hope this helps.0 -
Yes on all the above , correct and true , I own one of these and it is a great "shooter" , nothing to look at , but if you could put a red brick in the mag it would feed and shoot it...If you decide not to keep it let us know , I have a few customers that really like mine...
Thanks !!!!!!!!!!
