"The Bullet" Sabots - blackpowder projectiles

I just got the new Cabelas magazine and was looking at blackpowder projectiles. They have one called "The Bullet" sabots in which there is a hole clear through the projectile. It looks like a barrel with no bottom. Has anyone shot these? They claim they resist wind better, I could kinda see that, but it is a leap from everything I know (or thought I knew) about projectiles.
They are about $1.50 each, so not exactly gravy...
Also, has anyone used the "long-range" sabots or full-size polymer tipped boat-tail bullets? Are they worth the money?
I am shooting a Remington 700ML with 2 50 grain pellets on a cheap 240 grain .44 caliber sabot. I can honestly shoot a better group with this gun at 100 yards than I can my .300.
I am thinking of switching to cleanshot loose powder and raising the charge to 120 grains (maximum for my 24" barrel). I have a Simmons 2x7x32 on Leupold removable mounts (scopes are legal during regular seasons in KS, but not muzzleloader season, and are legal for both in OK).

What do you guys think?

It doesn't matter what you shoot, just shoot it well...
