    Have you tried S&B?
Are you sure it isn't inferior hi-cap mags? Are you using the factory 5 rounder?

Cheapest AK is the SAR-1 postban clone of the AK-47, they go for about $259 - $299. Dont buy the WASR they use single stack mags vs the SAR-1 uses the double stack AK47 mags.

Wolf ammo works 100% in mine. You might try Silver Bear ammo too. Nickle plated cases tend to feed/extract better.

Thanks, I have a SAR-1 which I love for it's reliability, and NEVER jams. Never misfires. Cheap ammo is what I am looking for that would be compatable with the Mini. I hear South American stuff is pretty good and cheap, but where do I find it? Thanks again all.

When I was a child, I thought as a child. But now that I am grown, I just wish I could act like a child and get away with it.

If it is cheap reliable & consistent ammo you are looking for to shoot in an AK, (provided you are talking 7.62x39), you cannot go wrong with Russian hollow point. It is the cheapest on the market currently and I personally have shot thousands of these rounds without any misfires, feed, or ejection problems. Just a personal experience for your evaluation.

Keep the AK and get rid of the Ruger. It's not the ammo or the clips it's the rifle.[xx(] You couldn't give one of the Mini-30s. Any AK even one left out in the weather is better than the best Mini.
