Ruger Super Red #406 of 550 ??????

I have a question about a Ruger Super Redhawk 44mag. 7-1/2 stainless steel with engraving on the barrel "National Rifle Association"
406 of 550
Can anyone help me with this one. I'm more curious than anything.

  Sounds like a "Friends of the NRA" auction gun to me. Each year they make approx. 500-550 to go to the dinners around the country and use as a fund raiser, by auctioning them off at the dinner. Each year there is a different model used.
