Styer M9

I have been looking at getting a Styer M9 pistol but had a few things to ask. First, is this a very good pistol? and second, can a person get hicap mags for this pistol or are the 10 rounds all that there is?

  I had a Styer M9 and it was an accurate and reliable pistol. I especially liked the sights as they were very quick to pick up and get on target. I don't think there are any hi cap mags floating around for this pistol as production began after the ban. I'm sure there are Military and police hi cap mags, but none for us peons!

  Ah, not so fast Chris8161! A Smith & Wesson Sigma High Capacity magazine fits and feeds perfectly if an appropriate new latch hole is cut in the Sigma magazine. (The magazine will still function properly in the Sigma after thte new latch hole is cut.) In the alternative if you cannot bring yourself to cut a Sigma magazine, just tape in the Sigma magazine and fire away. (I base this information on the .40 Smith & Wesson chambering only because that is the only one I have actually tried, but I cannot see why the 9x19 would be any different.)
  
  I love the looks and function of the Steyr M series, but, with its Glock-like grip angle, I do not like to shoot it.
