I am in the market for an original WWII carbine. Before I buy, I need to get an education. Can anyone recommend a book or two? Is there good info available on the net somewhere? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

If it has the original barrel on it there is a date up close to the front sight. If the barrel is not original the date will tell you when the barrel was made. Someone else on this site may have a carbine book to look up your serial numbers.
