Beretta 87 Target or S&w 41?

I have never seen either of these pistols except for pictures.Both pistols are a large investment and was wondering if someone has had one or the other and how they functioned.Thanks for any input.

  I have had a S&W M41 (5 1/2" heavy barrel) for many years. It is considered the finest standard .22 target pistol by just about everyone who has ever fired one. Not many of us are capable of shooting better than the gun will.
  
  If you buy a used one, be sure that you get one that hasn't been abused. Many are still in excellent condition after up to 50 years, as they are usually used only at a range.

  I have several of both models, both are excellent pieces. either one will serve you quite well for years. i woould be hard pressed to choose a favorite as they both are excellent. you cant go wrong either way

  I'm partial to the 41's....currently have two. One is an early 7 3/8" model with cocking indicator, muzzel brake, all the Olympic style weights, plus an additional 5.5" bull barrel. These units still hold resale value very well and shoot better than I.

  I have the S&W. Groups very tight. I think it's about as close to a classic bullseye gun as you are likely to find and you probably don't have to do anything to it when you buy it.
