Winchester Defender

Hey guys I have a winchester 1300 defender with a 18" barrle do they make a full size barrle that would enter change with the defender something like a 26 to 28" one.

  I just purchased a used Model 1300 Winchester defender 12 gauge synthetic stock off of GB. What are the Pro's and con's on this shotgun.

  Not too many cons as far as I've seen. The early ones used to have problems with the mag spring binding (maybe that was the Rem 870). Dunno, haven't had any problems with them. I actually prefer them over the 870.

  I've had one of the Defenders or a 12 gauge 1300 aound for about 15 yrs now. Keep it clean and it'll be fine.[:)] The only problem with the 1300 series guns I've found is after alot (I mean excessive use) of use the slide supports will wear out. I replace the factory mag. spring with one of Choate's extra tension ones. Also it won't feed mini shells correctly[:(]. It will feed them upright, but turn it on it's side or upside down and it'll jam everytime.[xx(]
