This isn't an official answer, but looking at catalogs on aftermarket stocks, every single one lists the 1100 and the 870 as different numbers - so no, I don't think they interchange.
Actually, I think there is a spring or something in the 1100 that goes back into the stock as part of its cycling system. Don't quote me on that, I usually take my guns to the gunsmith before I get in that deep. [;)]

NO.
I'm a man,....but I can change,.....If I have to,......I guess.0 -
The stock from a 870 will fit a 1100 with a few modifications. Putting a 870 stock on a 1100 you will have to drill the hole through the stock bigger to accept the action tube of the 1100. After the hole is enlarged you will have to make a spacer to go over the action tube to take up the excess space since the nut goes on the end of the action tube. I have done this many times and usually made the spacer out of aluminum round bar stock drilled out and on occasion hace used a wooden dowel rod drilled out. But it will fit as the contours of the receiver are the same. 0 -
Thanks I am looking at my stock options on my 1100
and I have found some nice 870 stocks but 1100 stocks are hard to find
Then I found a thumbhole stock for a 870 but I dont think it would have the extra space in butt for action tube??
THANKS again0
