Range in Indy?

I know of the Eagle Creek range and the gun club in Clermont, but they have limits of small cal only. Where can a guy go to practice with something bigger than a rim-fire rifle or 9mm pistol in the Indy area?

  If Dons guns is still there he has an indoor range. Near Keystone at I-465 next to a bowling ally

  I went to an indoor range at a shopping mall just north of the speedway. But for the life of me I cannot remember the name if you go
  just north of indy 500 track its the mall there. Hope this helps it is a nice shooting range.

  Not sure how far you are willing to drive, but I do all my shooting at the Quakertown range...if ya ever heard of Brookville Lake it's around that area...It's an outdoor range...really nice setup but it's only open during the warmer months. Hope this helps!!

  Camp Atterbury in Johnson County to the South has and outdoor range for small caliber and for larger also as well as a throw your own trap area. ranges are 25yd,50yd, and 100 yd.
  
  Also A private gun club is located just west of Columbus about 8 miles called Hoosier Hills Gun Club. I think they go out to 200yds.

  dons guns at 38th street and laffette road has a range also if you live in the southern part of indiana crosley has a range that goes out to 200 yards it is open year round really nice outdoor range

  Pops Guns has an indoor range on Post Road. $15.00 hr. Haven't been there yet myself.

  popguns is for hanguns and i believe small caliber rimfire rifles only [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

  Thanks for the replies guys. Mike, you might be thinking of Don's guns in the Lafayette Square center. Red, I'll check to see what they have. I live about 20 miles west of Indy. Someone told me there was an outdoor range in Lebanon or La Fayette but I can't find any info on it.

  cbxjeff There is a private members only club in Lafayette The wildcat creek rifel and pistol club it is not curently taking members. The other free to the public range is the Lindon conservation club. So.of Laf. on St.Rd.231 this is a good range for pistol, 22rf,trap. I shot at both clubs they are clean and safe. By the way I am trying to start a range in Benton Co. now. Look for it in the near future. If you are west of Indy Benton is just north of you we are looking for people interested in helping to start our new range. Send me an E-mail we can talk about it.
