weaver mounts

should be # 45 and #46. Same as 95 maus or 96 maus.Anyway thats whats on mine.

  I just bought a BSA .22 Special 4x32 scope advertised as having "Weaver Mounts" but it doesn't fit any of my .22 rifles. My guns have grooves that look about 1/2 inch apart but the scope rings seem like they're meant for grooves 3/4 inch apart. What gives? Evidently there must be different sizes of Weaver Mounts. So,is it a matter of age? Do newer .22s take the wider mounts, or did I get a miss-match with mounts meant for a larger (center fire) rifle? TIA, Jerry
