Anyone know about Tikka?

Thinking about buying a modest-priced rifle, but don't know anyone who ever shot one.

  I won one in .270 cal.and I really like it with 130 GR Bullets its good for Deer,and varmits alike as long as you dont want the hides.Tikka is actually owned bt Berettta,and IMHO are great Rifles.

  They are great guns. My brother has one in 300 win mag and its a beauty. They are well worth the buck to me

  I have two. One is a .338 Win Mag and the other is a composite stock .223. Bolt and trigger are very smooth. Balance is nice. Accuracy is excellent. I don't believe you can do better for the money. They are a bit heavier than the Savage, both in stock and bolt frame. They are much smoother than the Remington 700.

  If I remember correctly Tikka is actually a Sako subsidiary. Good rifles and very good fit and tolerances.

  kingjoey is correct, they are a Sako sub. Friend of mine has a Tikka sporter in .308, adjustable cheek piece, high dollar scope, bi-pod, alot of money wrapped up in an ugly, heavy gun but it shoots well and does what he wants it to do.

  These are nice guns for the $$. They also claim that every Tikka rifle must fire a sub 1" ,3 shot group at 100 yards prior to leaving the factory.

  TIKKKA'S ARE GREAT, BEST GUN FOR THE MONEY. I BOUGHT A 25/06, GOT .50 INCH GROUPS AT 100YDS, WENT BACK TO DEALER AND BOUGHT HIS 30/06 ALSO! 1" WITH THAT ONE. SEVERAL YEARS LATER A .338 STAINLESS TURNED UP IN MY GUN RACK. THEY ALL HAVE SMOOTH AS BUTTER ACTIONS, GREAT FEAL AND BALANCE, AND ARE ACRO!! YES THEY ARE BUILT BY SAKO, WHO KNOWS RIFLES BETTER? MY WOOD RIFLES WEIGH 8LBS, THE SYNTHETIC WEIGHTS IN AT 7.5. YOU WONT FIND A BETTER RIFLE FOR THE MONEY, OR MUCH MUCH MORE MONEY FOR THAT MATTER!!

  One of my monthly magazines I just got talked about the T3, and they gave it a very high ranking. That's all I know 'bout 'em, but if they are owned by Beretta, they can't be too bad.

  I have an Ithaca rifle made in Finland by Tikka. It is a great lightweight rifle and extremely accurate.
