Glock for USPSA limited class comp
Any shooters using glock pistols for USPSA comp. post opinions about these pistols in this application.1911 guns are prevalent in this sport but i think the glock system is much simpler and easier to use.reliability is better,i watch folks at every match with 1911 guns of all makes deal with some sort of jam, misfeed, malfunction ,etc. myself included and i want a better way to go.

Mykey.... Welcome to the forum. I have shot the U.S.P.S.A. 3-gun nationals for the last 3 years, and the S.O.F. (Soldier of Fortune) 3-gun match, now called the S.W.A.T. 3-gun for the last 12 years with a Glock.
I use the 9mm model 17. Its a great gun, reliable, easy to operate, and holds 18 rnds. It has served me well in competition. I have 4 of them, and rotate them in and out of service.
The 1911 type pistols, of which there are loads of variations, are in great use as there are a lot of custom alterations and after market parts that enhance their suitability for, and performance in competition matches. The trigger pull on the 1911's is shorter and more crisp than the Glock.
I have seen a lot of 1911 type guns malfunction in competition. It seems the more you customize them, the more prone the are to have problems.
S.V.I. and S.T.I. pistols are very popular in both the open and limited classes.0
