OTTO BOCK 9,3X62??

I have a 1926 Otto Bock rifle that has been passed down to me. it was brought back from WWII and I cant find anything about it other than Otto Bock invented the caliber in 1905. I cant find any other 9,3X62 that was made by Otto Bock. If any one can help me I would very much appreciate it, and I feel confident that some one in here will be able to I am always reading the responces and the people on this sight know what they are talking about.

    OTTO BOCK of berlin made sporting rifles embodying OBERNDORF made mauser actions. most were chambered for the then proprietary 9.3x62 cartridge, developed be bock in about 1905 specificly for the OBERNDORF mauser action. he was a well known and world famous gunmaker around the turn of the century. this round, and the BOCK-OBERNDORF rifles were introduced to give farmers and hunters in the then german colonies in africa an adequate cartridge, and it was soon in use in europe on wild boars(the big boys) and red deer. mauser-bock-oberndorf sporters were sold in america in this cartridge up until about 1940. it was manufactured and listed in the catalogs of DWM, RWS, KYNOCH, and NORMA. BROWNING paid a licsence fee to bock to produce rifles in this chambering. they were moderatly priced, finely made arms, and they now command a premium among collectors. best regards, mike.

    MrMike gave you an excellent and complete answer. The 9.3X62 Mauser is one of my all time favorite big game cartridges. I just wanted to add that Sako is still producing rifles in this caliber.

    CZ is also currently producing rifles in this caliber.
