I shoot a right handed 870 and I am left handed and shoot that way. When I am hunting my middle finger of my left hand rides right on top of the safety button ready to go. I make sure my trigger finger isn't inside the trigger guard till I'm ready to shoot. It can't get any faster to release a safety. Have him try it! Russ

easyest way is to find an old williams l.h. rem. safty, best way is to buy a rem. l.h. trigger plate and change the other parts to the new trig. plate.

I'm a lefty too, I'm about ready to sell all my 870's and get an overunder or yikes[xx(][xx(] a Mossberg. I'm constantly fumbling for that safety when out Pheasant hunting. Pain in the neck!

The safety cannot be reversed for left hand use. You need a left hand safe of a complete trigger guard for left hand. Need a left hand safety?? I have them.

I wouldn't want the shells flying across in front of me after I shot [:(!]... I guess with a pump you could slow down though.
Get a left-handed, double, or bottom drop pump gun...

It doesn't matter what you shoot, just shoot it well...

Go with BT-99, he has the answer. You can change the safety, your self. I fought the right safety long enought. It won't hurt the gun, and you can change it back when you sell it. I went as far as making my own lefy hand safety, on a gun you can no longer buy one for. K.J.S.
