Beretta 92 EL

My local gun dealer has a 92 EL for sale with the gold trimmed everything. It doesn't have the fancy box or manual. The gun is
in perfect condition and I doubt that is has been shot at all.
If someone could give me an opinion and a good price for this gun I would appreciate it.

  If you have not already been WELCOMED to this forum, I would like to do so --- heck, I am going to do it anyway.
  
  Making the assumption --- and you know what assumptions will do for you --- that you are speaking of the "ELS" version of the 92F with the high polish stainless slide and gold highlights scattered all over everything --- I have seen them go for somewhere between $600-700 in shows in Talahassee, Florida and Dothan, Alabama.
  
  As to the other part of your question --- I don't have a clue. I have a Browning High Power and I have never had any reason to desire anything else. Therefore someone else will have to address that portion of your inquiry.

  Not sure why anyone wants gold trim, except to sit in a case--too prone to wear. Not like engraving for decoration IMHO.
  
  For my money, give me a plain vanilla stainless 92FS and have a trigger job on it. Great 9mm and one of the more dependable guns out there.

  Big difference if it's an all blue/black gun with gold appointments vs a high polish stainless with gold. Black plastic grips, or wood grips, or pearl grips? 10 shot or 15 shot cap mag?
  
  If you want it as a shooter, the gold will wear easily with use. If you want it to look at and occasionaly shoot, it might last longer.
  
  These guns usually sell anywhere from $850-$1200 depending on what you get.

  It is the high polish blue/black with walnut grips.

  I would then say around $850 on the retail top end.
