Sig P226 in .40 Cal

Does anyone know if $815 for the above handgun would be a good buy? I contacted a local dealer and thats what he would sell one for. It does have the sig nite sights also and is nitro finished I beleive. Secondly he also had a Sig Pro in .40 cal w/ nite sights for $559.00. It is a "Blue Line". Is that different then one that is not? And would that be a good price? Thanks all! Ken

  Hey Selzy2, That's a good price for the P226! Mfg.'s suggested price is right at $830. Then add another $100 for the Siglight sights. All of those came standard with the Nitron finish beginning in 2000. Sorry, don't know much about the Sig Pro.[:I]

  I think the price is a little bit on the high side, but that's neither here nor there. The question is do you want a .40 and do you need or want night sights? Frankly, you could forgo the night sights and get a much more useful Sure Fire light for less bucks. Personally I'd go for a P220ST in .45 or P226ST in 9mm and mount a light for just about the same money. If you can't positively identify what you are shooting, night sights won't really help much.
