Can anyone tell me if the barrel from a Snake Charmer II will fit the H. Koon model?

  What is a fair price to offer for a .410 snake charmer, bought 5 years ago, and only shot a coupla times? Thanks for all the future input.

  I had one years ago, may have been a lemon. It often failed to hit the primer hard enough to fire a shell. The fore stock refused to stay on the gun. I finally threw it in the pond after it misfired in an attempt to kill a water moccasin. Its still at the bottom of the pond, I think. Maybe some were better than others, I wouldn't pay the shipping to get one. LOL

  You did get a "lemon".
  I've owned one of the "early" models, made by H. Koon, Dallas, Texas (for 25 years) and have probably sold another dozen back when I had my shop-never had a complaint.
  Same way with new model-Verney-Carron of Clay Center, KS.
  Have a friend that just bought one and loves it.
  With suggested retail at $179, I'd say the one you're looking at: if 1st model (without safety) should be worth $100 (esp w/case they came with) and 2nd model at $125.

  What ever you do stay away from the ones made by Sporting Arms. They are out of business and they built defective shotguns. Piece of crap S.O.G. still sells them today knowing full well that the company is out of business and the shotguns are defective. In fact there is a lot of chicanery that goes on at S.O.G. but that's another thread.

  S.O.G. ???? And how many companys made the snake charmer? So far I think I've come up with Koon, Verney-Carron, and now Sporting Arms?

  They been made and sold by a number of companies over the years. Personally I've always considered them more a novelty or a conversation piece than a practical shotgun, but sold a bunch of them, back when I was in the business.
