What's the difference between the Model 1517 and the 1717?

The most obvious difference is the model 1717 is a single shot while the model 1517 MPR (Multi Purpose Repeater) has a 4-shot clip. The 1717 is also listed to have an Olympic match trigger and can be had with either a sporter weight or heavy barrel. The 1517 carries a suggested retail of $734 but I can't find a list price for the 1717, but I have a feeling that it is considerably higher priced.

Thanks for the info. I'm guessing that the 1717's action is similar to my 1413.

actually the 1717D is a repeater with a 4 shot clip. i had one. it has a model 64 action and a classic style stock. the 1517 looks more like a target rifle with a benchrest style stock and heavier barrel.
