Help with my Old Shotgun!

I need help Identifying my old ShotGun.
It has an Hammer and the slide operates a Bolt type Cocking mechanism.
I was told at one time it may be a winchester who knows.
If you think you can help please talk to me.
The ShotGun has the numbers: 124580 on the bottom of the firing chamber.
It fires and is a good gun, the stock is in need of repair and a couple of screws have been modified,but I am sure it is a great find.

  My first thought was a Mod 97 Win. But then you said a bolt type action. A slide action is one type of action and a bolt action is another. These two are mutually exclusive, if you can give a better decription I'm sure somebody can help. I dont think there are many guns around that one or more folks on this site have not seen or had experiance with. Good Luck.

  MARLIN MADE A FEW SHOTGUNS THAT WERE PUMP ACTION WITH A HAMMER, {MODEL#16,17,19,21,24,26} OR SOME CALL THEM SLIDE ACTION. CHECK INTO THEM ALSO! GOOD LUCK!

  Where can I find a site about this type of gun? The gun has no name on it so I have no idea what it is.
  And yes it is a slide action with a hammer.
  I have pics if there is someone that wants to see it and then might be able to help me out.
