Multiple firearms purchases???

How many long guns may an FFL transfer to a non-FFL on the same day without fileing the special multiple sale form with ATF????

  lots of states have limitations on pistols and revolvers. Have not heard of restictions on long guns.

  DEPENDS ON THE STATE. IN NEBRASKA, IOWA, KANSAS, NO LIMIT

  There exists no BATF form for multiple long gun sales. ATF Form 3310.4 is used by dealers to report all transactions in which an unlicensed has acquired two or more handguns at one time or during five consecutive business days. The dealer then mails the form to the ATF Field office nearest his business. At ATF seminars we are constantly reminded by the BATF to be sure to mail in these form.This is strictly a dealer form and the purchaser never sees it, provides any information for it, or signs it. Here in California you are free to purchase as many long guns as you please with no problem. I don't know about other states.

  The state that we live in limits handgun purchase to one per month.Guess I have to assume that if I purchase on Gunbroker and it is handled by a local FFL that is my one gun for the month, pretty dumb in my opinion. I know we live in the same state by the way, lets work to get this changed if we can!!!

  Your talking about CA, I think the way around it is private party transfers. I've bought two in the same month when one handgun was brand new and the other used from a private person via a FFL.

  Illinois has no limit on long guns, handguns every other day is safe

  Yep good ol Illinois. I used to live in the burbs of chicago. What a dream, as long as you have your FOID card. The police want the weapon on the front seat in plain view. Wow how is that for weird. They said that this eliminated the worry of concealed handguns under the seat...

  Ted, If you still live in Illinois or ever visit, Don't leave you gun in the from seat. That will get you in big trouble. Must be in a case unloaded, out of the passenger area--- ie trunk.
  
  However magazines can be loaded as long as they are not in the gun.
